Aircraft Design & Engineering
American Dynamics Flight Systems specializes in the design and engineering of aircraft and associated systems. The AD-150 UAS and HTAL technology are both testaments to the company's focus on innovation. American Dynamics Flight Systems has developed expertise in the areas of airframes, lift and propulsion systems, drive systems, avionics and control systems.

The company makes extensive use of modern engineering tools, such as solid modeling systems, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) systems and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) systems for comprehensive component and system design, analysis, validation and optimization.

American Dynamics Flight Systems' CFD tool suite allows the company's engineers to model and simulate virtually any type of aerodynamic and thermodynamic physical operating condition that the AD-150 aircraft may encounter. This capability not only allows the company to internally validate designs, but also to accurately predict aircraft and system performance in different operating environments.

Manufacturing & Assembly
American Dynamics Flight Systems' manufacturing and assembly operations are based out of the company's 14,700 square foot manufacturing and research facility in Jessup, Maryland. This facility currently enables the company to manufacture up to three AD-150 aircraft simultaneously and can rapidly spiral to support additional capacity if needed.

The company operates two high-precision Computer Numeric Controlled (CNC) Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) and one CNC Lathe. These machines enable the Company to manufacture a significant portion of the AD-150 and HTAL components on-site. One VMC machine is operated in a 3-axis configuration enabling precise manufacturing of most 3 dimensional parts. The other VMC machine is operated in a 4-axis configuration enabling precise manufacturing of highly complex 3 dimensional parts including propulsion fan blades.

American Dynamics Flight Systems' facilities and equipment are capable of supporting both prototype and production manufacturing of the AD-150 and HTAL systems.

Test Operations
Flight and laboratory test operations are vital to the success of all developmental aircraft programs. Data generated through comprehensive test operations allows American Dynamics Flight Systems engineers to physically validate designs and optimize system performance.

American Dynamics Flight Systems maintains dedicated bench test facilities for the validation and testing of electronic, mechanical, and electromechanical components and assemblies.

American Dynamics Flight Systems has teamed with the University of Maryland and the Glenn L. Martin Wind Tunnel for wind tunnel testing of the AD-150 aircraft and related systems.

As part of an agreement with State of Maryland, American Dynamics Flight Systems has teamed with the United States Army's Aberdeen Proving Ground for ground and flight test operations.
